Accompanying persons

For the day of the persons accompanying the participants, the RNPC team has concocted a very pleasant program for them. A beautiful day to enjoy the sun and the jewels of the Mediterranean...

Program:

Boat tour of the Calanques aboard a private boat

Guided tour in small groups of Old Marseille punctuated by workshops and stops to discover Marseille traditions.

Program 1 of the day for accompanying persons (subject to change)

9:30 a.m.: Boarding a private boat for a visit to the Calanques

The cruise begins with a presentation of the old port and the major buildings visible from the water: Notre Dame de la Garde, the Town Hall, the Palais du Pharo and at the exit of the Port the MUCEM and the Fort Saint Jean completely restored for 2013.

The cruise continues towards the Frioul archipelago 4km off the coast of Marseille with the Château d'If and its legend of the Count of Monté Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. This “Château Prison” was built on the orders of François I between 1527 and 1529.

You will sail around the islands of Ratonneau; which has a village and a real marina of 700 rings; and the wilder island of Pomègues, which is home to an aquaculture farm that produces sea bass and sea bream for restaurants in Marseille!

The boat will head along the Marseille coast towards Cap Croisette which marks the entrance to the Calanques National Park.

A professional guide will be present on board to provide explanations throughout the cruise.

12:30 p.m.: End of the cruise and disembarkation - Transfer on foot to the place of your lunch

Program 2 of the day for accompanying persons (subject to change)

09:30: Composition of 2 sub-groups and meeting with your 2 guides

Departure for the walk: Guided tour in small groups of Old Marseille punctuated by workshops and stops to discover Marseille traditions.

We offer you a discovery of the city of Marseille on foot, accompanied by our professional guides. Discovery of the old port of Marseille and its new facilities. Stroll under the Ombrière, presentation of the MuCEM, stroll through the alleys of the Panier district, the oldest district of the city...

12:30 p.m.: End of the walk at the place of your lunch, on the Old Port (The buffets of the old port)
